Hello my (at the moment non-existent) lovelies! My hiatus is finally over! After a whirl-wind spring break and an impressive amount of school work after the break, I can finally find time in my daily life to keep up with this blog. Yippee! So, let's jump in!
Today, I discovered and signed up for the website
hexday. Hexday is a website where you choose one color a day based on your mood, and it documents what colors you pick over time. Here's my first pick!
My pick for a day of golf, wind and springtime weather!
Another exciting discovery of mine in the recent past has been the discovery of
the barcode generator at Codename: "Cuttlefish". You can set the settings to any colourlover's palettes, and you can adjust the number of palettes featured in the barcode multi-blend along with the capability to search keywords. Using this, I have created three (3) multi-blends so far.
A Day In The Life
This (↑) is a multi-blend of the four palettes of mine that make up "A Day In The Life". Inspired by the song of the same name by the Beatles, "A Day In The Life" uses the lyrics from the song to make up the colors by color name. Below, you can see the selected lines of the song that were used as the inspiration with the color names in bold.
"I read the news today oh boy
About a lucky man who made the grade
And though the news was rather sad
Well I just had to laugh
I saw the photograph
He blew his mind out in a car
He didn't notice that the lights had changed
A crowd of people stood and stared
They'd seen his face before
Nobody was really sure if he was from the House of Lords.
I saw a film today oh boy
The English Army had just won the war
A crowd of people turned away
but I just had to look
Having read the book
I'd love to turn you on"
~A Day In The Life by The Beatles
Death Cab For Cutie : Plans
This (↑) is a multi-blend of the eleven palettes of mine that make up my Death Cab For Cutie multi-blend. It is inspired by the eleven tracks on my favorite album of all time, Plans, which was recorded in 2005. Each palette in the multi-blend represents a track, and it follows the album in order from left to right.
Vampire Weekend : Contra
This (↑) is a multi-blend of the twelve palettes of mine that make up my Vampire Weekend multi-blend. It is inspired by the eleven tracks on the album, and one palette that is inspired by the album artwork. Each palette in the multi-blend represents a track, and it follows the album in order from left to right.
